ALPCA Texas Region Spring meet at Donald W. Reynold Recreation Center at 1005 North Willow in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. The Recreation Center is a very nice facility which first opened in January 2011. Meet begins at 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Pauls Valley is located a few miles east of I-35, south of Oklahoma City, and about 70 miles north of the Texas-Oklahoma border. Admission $4.00. A member who brings an immediate family member (spouse, child, grandchild) still pays just $4 admission. The Center will provide tables, but these are smaller than those we use at the Temple, Texas meet. Prices are adjusted accordingly. Six foot tables rent for $3.00, five foot tables for $2.00, and five foot tables (24 inches wide instead of 30 inches) $1.50. The table arrangement will not allow for mixing table sizes. It is recommended that advance reservations be made if one wishes to get their desired table size. If one decides to cancel prepaid table(s), the cancellation must be received by April 21 in order to get a refund. Advance reservations must be received by April 25. Tables may be paid for at the door at the same price structure. Lunch will be provided with a donation auction afterwards. Awards will be given for Best of Show Display and Runner Up Display. Awards will be given for Best of Show Single Plate Display and Runner Up Single Plate Display as well as longest distance traveled and for highest member number in attendance. There are at least 7 different hotels in or near Pauls Valley. A flyer with directions will be mailed out sometime in February or March to all ALPCAns in Texas and Oklahoma, plus some members in Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas. Eight miles later take Congress/Richardson St. (the first Bath exit) hairpin-turn-right-again exit. Go 1000' ft and veer left onto Berry's Mill Rd. 1.8 mile later, left on Austin Rd, then all the way to the end and up the hill.
