New collectors who have never been ALPCA members, and who would like to attend an ALPCA meet, should contact the regional host for details about admittance and requirements. Friday, April 27th, will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, April 28th, will be from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The closest I-65 exit to the fairgrounds, Exit 310, also has the most hotels, restaurants, and gas stations you can shake a stick at. There is a Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Suites, Hampton Inn, Sleep Inn, and a Best Western on Exit 310. There is also a new Wal-Mart on Exit 310. There is a Days Inn at the Exit 308, but only one gas station and no restaurants. Sportsman's Lake Road is off of Hwy 31 (the old Bee Line Hwy to you old timers), which runs North and South through Cullman. If you're coming North on Hwy 31 you turn left onto Sportsman's Lake Road, and if you're coming South on Hwy 31 you turn right onto it. Then, the fairgrounds is on the left as you come down Sportsman's Lake Road. Can't miss it. Tables are $10.00 and walk ins are $5.00. We will have a donation auction Saturday at 11:00 AM to help with region expenses. There will be a BBQ stand on site all day Saturday with coffee, cold drinks, chips, and some of the best BBQ sandwiches around. Come join the fun! 10300 Courthouse Road Chesterfield Virginia Chesterfield County Fairgrounds exhibit hall DATE CHANGE (was 4/21) ALPCA Chesapeake Region spring meet at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds exhibit hall, 10300 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Chesterfield is located just south of Richmond. Same location as past spring meets. Take I-95 or I-64 to Va. Route 288, then exit at Va. Route 10 east. Turn left at the first light onto Courthouse Road; fairgrounds are one mile on your right. This is a very large hall with a level, drive-up unloading area and eighty or more 6-foot tables available, so table reservations will not be needed. First table $10; additional tables $5 each; walk-ins $5. Donation auction will be held; refreshments and lunch provided. Awards for best plate, best display, and furthest distance traveled. Our event this year is located just 1 mile east of I-25 exit 146. Free admission! 50+ tables will be available for only $5.00 each, and we generally have around 70 in attendance - always a fantastic meet! 1800 New Garden Rd Greensboro North Carolina New Garden Moose Lodge ALPCA Carolina's Collector's Club (CCC) regional meet at New Garden Moose Lodge, 1800 New Garden Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410. The lodge is a fantastic facility with its large room and plenty of tables and chairs. The level entry allows easy access with hand trucks. The meet hours are 8am until 3pm. Our Greensboro meets have historically been well attended. Entry fee is $5, tables are $5 each. This meet's theme will be city or county plates depending on jurisdiction issue. Bring singles or mounted displays to show your treasures. We will give the longest distance attendee $75 to help with your gas costs. This is an ALPCA sanctioned tag meet. Only ALPCA members or prospective members will be allowed entry. This will likely be the only CCC meet for 2018, so don't miss out on having a ton of fun under our new leadership. 40 Black Mountain Rd Brattleboro Vermont Brattleboro VFW Post 1034 ALPCA Colonial Region Spring Meet at the Brattleboro VFW Post 1034, 40 Black Mountain Rd., Brattleboro, VT, 05301. This will be a Saturday meet. Doors open at 8:00 AM, meet will run until 3:00 PM. This will be our third visit to the site that welcomed between 70 and 80 members from 15 states and provinces, and boasted 65 tables at the last two year’s spring meets. This location is right off I-91. Take exit 3 in Brattleboro, and go 1/8th of a mile to US Route 5. Go south for a quarter mile and take a right at the first traffic light onto Black Mountain Rd. Enter the third driveway on the left for the VFW hall. We will be on the ground floor, with no stairs or grade to overcome to enter the hall. There will be plenty of parking within easy access to the hall entrance, and lodging available at the five hotels located within a mile of the meet. This hall site is located within 20 miles of the Vermont/ Mass state line, and one mile of the New Hampshire/Vermont state line. Complementary coffee and donuts will be provided. Member registration fees are $7 with no table, $15 with one table, and additional tables are $20 each. 1005 North Willow Pauls Valley Oklahoma Donald W Recreation Center ALPCA Texas Region Spring meet at the Donald W. Reynolds Recreation Center, 1005 North Willow, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is $4.00. Members who bring immediate family members (spouse, child, grandchildren) still pay only $4.00. Six foot tables rent for $3.00, five foot tables for $2.00. Table rentals and admission fees can be made in advance and recommended if you require a specific size. If you decide to cancel advance reservations, the cancellation(s) must be received by May 17 to get a refund. Tables and admissions may be paid for at the door using the same price structure. Lunch provided, with a donation auction afterwards. Awards given for best display and best single plate, longest distance traveled, and highest ALPCA member number in attendance. Pauls Valley is located a few miles east of I-35 and south of Oklahoma City. It is about 70 miles north of the Texas-Oklahoma border. From I-35, take exit 72 (OK Route 19) and go east. Route 19 becomes Grant Avenue. Turn left on Willow near the center of town. The Recreation Center is a few blocks from the intersection. Jefferson Ave. John Serio will be our host again for this delightful outdoor covered facility sporting dozens and dozens of tables, huge blacktopped parking lot permitting loading and unloading within a few feet of the tables. The Hall is just off of Highway 41 between I-5 and Highway 99. Old time California plate collectors live in this area and have some incredible plates to share. This is an outdoor meet with no inside backup and will be held rain or shine. There are several pavilions with a limited number of picnic tables and also a large grassy/parking area with lots of room. So feel free to bring your own tables and chairs or just spread your goodies on the grass. Admission fee is $8.00 per ALPCA member. Walk in with one table: $15.00. Additional tables: $20.00 each. We invite you to return with us in Fall of 2018 to the same site that hosted our blockbuster meets for the past four years. The Sunday meet format has proven to be popular and well attended, with 143 ALPCA members at our 2017 event! 2018 boasts the largest hall space that we’ve ever had, at 7,800 square feet. With over 100 tables, this means more plates, friends, and camaraderie than we have had under one roof at prior meet sites. Having had 100+ attendees at these Leominster Colonial Region meets, you will see friends that you may not have seen in years, meet new ones, and possibly have access to the most plates short of the annual convention. Start planning your display now, and enter it in our long standing competition for which awards will be presented in the following categories: Passenger, Non-passenger, Small Display (ten plates or fewer), Junior Display (entrant must be under 21 years of age), and Best of Show. Our donation auctions are always lively, and there is something there for everyone. Plan now to visit New England and experience Massachusetts hospitality at its best. As in years past, Alan plans to host a collectors’ dinner the night before the meet at the Longhorn Steakhouse on nearby Rte. 12 in Leominster. 49237 W Papago Road Maricopa Arizona Raceway Bar and Grill ALPCA Arizona License Plate Society Year End Meet at Raceway Bar and Grill, 49237 W Papago Road in the Town of Maricopa; Hours 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, please do not arrive before 7:30. Registration fee is $10.00 for all attendees over 12 years old, includes admission to the meet and lunch. This is a fun bar and grill with lots of license plates and other collectibles on display. Restaurant was featured on the show "American Pickers." Meet will take place mostly outdoors in a fenced-in area. Bring a hat and watch the weather. There is a backup plan if it rains. Plenty of space if you are able to bring your own table. Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the display theme "Incomplete Runs". Also the Greg 'Zeke' Donaldson favorite plates award and the Long Distance Award. 200 S Water St Henderson Nevada Henderson Convention Center ALPCA Silver State Region 39th Annual Meet at Henderson Convention Center. 200 S Water St. Three day meet from Wed March 20 to Friday March 22. This will be the largest license plate meet in the Western United States in 2019. This is a three day meet starting with parking lot activities on Tues at the Fiesta Henderson our host hotel.
